  First went into the pakenham thrifty branch and discussed car hire with the two staff members. They referred me to a sales staff member who gave me a quote. I then booked in a vehicle two weeks out from when it was needed, i called the Friday prior to the hire date to ensure things were ok, then followed it up both on the Monday and Tuesday which was when I was told my car would be ready. Only to be told when I arrived that my booking had been cancelled after hours through their Manila head quarter's. The manager of the pakenham branch Junior is not educated in dealing with such issues. He was very unhelpful, seemed very lost and confused as to what he should do to rectify the issue and I would not recommend thrifty to anyone. Junior did not look after me as a customer and respect that thrifty had been at fault over making an error at head office. I was told no car available sorry we can't help you at all. Junior is not fit to be a manager by no means and should be put through the appropriate training in customer service.

  Had to hire a car while problem with my car were fixed. Booked on-line to pick-up 7:30 am on A sunday. Staff were there before I arrived at 7:25 and were ready for me.

  Choice of cars and a Mitsubishi ASX which we took. Absolutely no problems. My deposit was back in my account the day after it was returned - better than other companies I have delt with in the past.
